Hydro-Flo Grids
The Hydro-Flo Screen is available in stainless steel laced links, wire mesh, and perforated panels
Laced Links
The Link style grid is ideally suited for water and wastewater applications where fine screening is required with low headlosses. Stainless steel links, hook links and axles withstand even the harshest of installations. Unlike perforated stainless or molded plastic panels, the laced links are able to filter down to 1 mm openings with extremely high open area percentages. This results in lower velocities through the grid and filtration of higher flows. Easy access to the grid allows for simple cleaning and removal if required. The Link style grid is often selected by designing engineers for screening flows with high solids contents; especially where hard to unload solids such as fats, grease, and stringy screenings are present.
The image on the left is of 1 mm spacing links from the outside of the screen. The image on the right is of a 6 mm spacing screen taken from the inside to show the hooks used for removal of large solids.

Wire Mesh
The Mesh style grid is ideally suited for water applications where ultra-fine screening is required. Stainless steel frame, hook links and axles support even the finest of meshes in the harshest of environments. Unlike perforated stainless or molded plastic panels, the supported mesh frames are able to filter down to 1mm or less openings with extremely high open area percentages. This results in lower velocities through the grid and filtration of higher flows. Easy access to the panels allows for simple cleaning and removal if required. The Mesh style grid is often selected by design engineers for protection of sensitive processes such as Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) Plants.
The image on the left is of the hook links from the inside of the screen. These hooks lift the large solids from the flow while the tray shown on the right removes the finer solids that may fall between the hooks. The mesh grid is made up of alternating rows of hooks and trays for optimal solids removal.

Perforated Panels
Our Perforated Panel grid is excellent for a variety of municipal water and wastewater applications where fine screening is required to protect sensitive process equipment, such as Membrane Bioreactors (MBR). Perforated panels have the highest capture ratio among our grid options for effective removal of floatables and fibrous materials. Our patented grid maintains its strength and opening tolerances for life ensuring no screen bypass. Grids are available in stainless steel or plastic with opening sizes ranging from 1mm to 9mm.
