Jay Conroy Honored by WWEMA as 2022 Morriss Award Winner

On November 3, 2022, Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) Chairman Vince Baldasare, Sales Manager, The Gorman-Rupp Company and 2022 Board of Directors Chairman, named Jay Conroy, President, Hydro-Dyne Engineering, Inc., which is headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, the recipient of the 2022 James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award at WWEMA’s 114th Annual Meeting held in San Diego, California. The Award is presented each year to a WWEMA member for significant contributions to the mission of the Association, and to the overall benefit of the water and wastewater industry.

In presenting the award, Baldasare cited Conroy’s outstanding service to and support of the Association. Conroy has:

• been actively involved in the Association since joining;
• regularly attends the Washington Forum, Presidents Council, and Annual Meeting;
• writes industry articles on behalf of WWEMA;
• served on the Association’s Strategic Planning Committee, making valuable contributions;
• is serving on the current Dues Subcommittee;
• served as the Vice-Chair and Chair of the Marketing & Member Services Committee helping direct membership growth; and

• currently serves as the Assistant Treasurer for the Association and in 2023 will serve on the Executive Committee as its Vice-Chair.

Conroy’s professional career has revolved around the environment and water. Similarly, his personal life typically involves skiing or paddle boarding on top of water, fishing in water, or diving and spearfishing under water. He loves his family, young daughter, and several pets while also enjoying an active and healthy lifestyle. WWEMA is grateful for his leadership and service and congratulates him on this well-deserved award!
