Marketing Manager

Hydro-Dyne Engineering is looking for a Marketing Manager based in Clearwater, Florida. This position requires someone willing to learn and understand our products. HDE designs and manufactures a highly specialized proprietary product line servicing municipal and industrial water treatment facilities around the world. Position Summary: Responsible for implementing strategic communication plans designed to capitalize on new and existing market opportunities and generate demand in both the short and long term. Build and implement a creative, integrated, multi-channel marketing department that builds brand awareness and reputation, provides a steady flow of sales leads, and measure the return on marketing program investments.

 

Responsibilities

General

  • Campaigns
    • Perform market segmentation, targeting and positioning for each product line
      • Develop and execute all campaigns including company, standard products, launching new products, services, etc.
      • Develop and manage comprehensive digital marketing campaigns across Google Ads and social media, focusing on high conversion and engagement through compelling videos, images, and copy
    • Oversee project management required for execution within schedule and budget
    • Be accountable for measuring and reporting on campaign results
  • Competitors
    • Conduct general market research to keep up on trends & competitor marketing movements
    • Regularly monitor competition and relay new products, strengths & weaknesses to Sales, etc.
  • Content Development/Promotion
    • Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and organize them efficiently
      • Responsible for producing valuable content for the company’s online presence, editorial design and organizing the company’s publications
    • Develop marketing materials, including print collateral, digital products, email marketing, and sales support tools tailed to the company’s products and services to key demographics
    • Develop, implement and maintain brand standards
    • Facilitate technical writing and white papers; working with Sales and Engineering
  • Events
    • Trade shows- National and Local with designated Sales Personnel
    • Customer technical training – overall accountability with assistance from Sales
    • Rep training- overall accountability with assistance from Sales
    • Marketing trailer – overall accountability with assistance from Sales
  • Social media- Develop and implement social media strategy
    • Spearhead content create and manage social media platforms
    • Engage with followers by responding to direct messages and comments, to maximize customer engagement
  • Website
    • Update and maintain company websites 
    • Search engine marketing/optimization 
    • Optimize adwords/advertising and regularly monitor analytics
 
Financial Budget and Control
  • Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects 
  • Input and hold responsibility for marketing budgets including:
    • Staffing including Salary, bonus and training 
    • Trade shows & Events (Rep and Eng Training, Factory Tours) 
    • Advertising/ Website/Email 
    • Video Animation 
    • Collateral/Literature/Swag 
    • Environmental Graphics 
    • Consulting and vendor services
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing management
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier) a plus
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot) a plus
  • Digital photography and video editing experience a plus
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with current and online marketing techniques and best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.) & Google Adwords
  • Proven ability to add value, reduce costs and make decisions resulting in business improvements and growth
  • Ability to lead a department, plan and manage projects and develop and maintain positive employee and customer relationships
  • Ability to produce to deadlines, interact with many people and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to delegate tasks while still keeping overall responsibility
  • Ability to motivate and encourage employees to work to their full potential
  • Technical aptitude – ability to relate to engineers, manufacturer’s reps and plant personnel
  • Continuously seeking and implementing methods to increase product quality, customer service and company efficiency

Position Comp/Hours

  • This is a salary exempt position. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and abilities.
  • Standard hours are 8:00am-5:00pm for the office and 6:30am-3:30am for the warehouse. Flexible and hybrid schedules may be available.
